It was a great way to finish the season at the Turi under 15 rugby and netball tournament. Our under 15 boys played well above all expectations and they should be proud of their performances, beating Hillcrest, Nairobi Academy, BGE and ran Turi St Andrews team very close losing narrowly. They faced Hillcrest in the knockout phases and once again beat them convincingly. The boys have worked hard all season and were rewarded by some enjoyable and skilful team play. The girls once again stormed to the final only to meet a fired up Turi St Andrews team who were determined to set things straight in their eyes for losing the league to Braeburn. Through outstanding game analysis, Turi won 9-8 in the dying seconds of the game. In defeat our girls were magnificent recognising and respecting a team that had played the game of their lives. Respect was shown and tears were shed but our girls great integrity and honour. They should be very proud of not just their quality of netball but their characters.

The second last week of term saw the whole of year 8 taking part in the 20th Braeburn Annual Science fair. Projects ranged from corrosion of bridges in coastal areas to the science behind lava lamps and the link with water pollution. The year 8 students all worked really hard to showcase their scientific theories and talents and six groups represented Braebunn on the Thursday to the 19th inter -schools science fair once again hosted at Braeburn.

Year 13 officially completed their secondary education on Thursday 15th June. This was officially marked by a successful and quite emotional Graduation ceremony. I would like to thank all parents of year 13 for attending and supporting on this evening. Speeches were made by Mr Dunn, Mr Williams, Mr Naulikha and our Guest of Honour, Mr Billing. These speeches resounded praise and advice for our current outgoing year 13.
It was a great pleasure to guide a focused, determined and resilient group to the completion of their A level studies at Braeburn High School. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all the graduands for being committed to the theme we set up together (vibrant and exemplary). You have without doubt left an indelible mark that will be emulated by those that follow you. I commend you for all your success stories and trust that you will carry on with the same in your new stage of life.
Congratulations are in order. I now grant you the powers to be successful ambassadors of your school, active alumni and responsible citizens.
