The U13 girls delivered an outstanding performance at the IAPS tournament held at Kenton College on Saturday, March 7th, demonstrating determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout. In the group stages, they secured impressive wins against Pembroke (1–0) and Turi (1–0), alongside a hard-fought 0–0 draw with Kenton, with their only loss coming in a narrow 1–0 defeat to Peponi. Finishing second in their group, they progressed to the knockout stages, where they edged past Banda 1–0 in a disciplined semi-final display. The final against BGE was a tense and closely contested match that remained goalless even after extra time, before the girls showed superb composure in the penalty shootout to claim a well-deserved championship victory.
The U11 girls also impressed with a strong and spirited performance throughout their tournament. Playing with confidence and excellent teamwork, they navigated the group stages successfully and advanced to the semi-finals. Although they narrowly missed out on a place in the final, their determination, effort, and quality of play were evident in every match, making it a highly commendable achievement for the team.
Adding to the success, the U9 girls took part in the KAISSO tournament held at Braeside on 19th March, where they showcased great enthusiasm, teamwork, and developing skill. Competing with confidence against strong opposition, they progressed to the semi-finals, an excellent accomplishment that highlights their growth and promising potential for the future.
