A Hockey Weekend @ Pembroke

The Upcountry Hockey Tour saw the U13 and U11 A and B teams embark on a journey to Pembroke for fixtures against Pembroke and St Andrew's, Turi. With a smooth journey, all 8 teams arrived relatively fresh. The evening, cool and sunny, provided ideal conditions for hockey. Results varied, encompassing wins, draws, and losses, but every team displayed commendable effort, reflecting well on Braeburn.
Post-match, teams enjoyed supper and a movie; most players, fatigued, retired early. By 10pm, the children were asleep, ensuring a refreshed start the next morning. Some, fuelled by excitement, rose early for their fixtures against Turi.
Following a hearty breakfast, players relaxed before more hockey. Across the board, results exceeded expectations, marked by numerous goals. Impressive performances demonstrated significant success. The weekend proved fruitful, offering valuable lessons, opportunities to hone new skills, and chances for Braeburn students to shine as confident, successful individuals who relished their trip and learned along the way.
