We are thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary musical achievement within our school community. On Sunday, 1st February, Jinghan (Year 7) graced the stage at the National Theatre to perform in the prestigious ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert.
Jinghan’s performance follows her remarkable success in earning a Distinction in her LRSM Diploma (Level 4). To put this into perspective, the LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) is an advanced professional qualification, often pursued by university-level students or professional musicians. Attaining the Diploma Level 2 (equivalent to a Year 2 undergraduate standard) with Distinction as a Year 7 pupil is truly world-class.
During the concert, Jinghan performed Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 23. Known as one of the most technically demanding and emotionally complex pieces in the piano repertoire, Jinghan navigated its soaring melodies and explosive finale with the poise and maturity of a seasoned artist.
We congratulate Jinghan on this momentous milestone. Her dedication to her craft is an inspiration to her peers and a testament to the thriving musical talent here at Braeburn.
