All Voices Matter

European Day of Languages

Guten Tag on 26 September, Braeburn School celebrated European Day of Languages. Did you know Europe is home to over 24 official languages? This year's theme was 'All Voices Matter'. This day celebrated both the cultural and linguistic diversity within Europe, encourage language learning at any age, promoting inter-cultural understanding and also diversify the range of languages learnt.

Pupils started the day by greeting each other in a European language and participated in songs and activities that celebrated the wealth of languages. This day also provided some pupils an opportunity to share knowledge of their own native language with their peers. Adios.
