Dino Day in Year was a roaring success, kicking off with a parade where pupils proudly showcased their creative dinosaur costumes to cheering parents and classmates. The excitement continued with a 'Dinosaurumpus' dance party, as children and parents grooved along to their favourite dinosaur songs!
The rest of the day was packed with hands-on activities that brought the prehistoric world to life. Pupils explored fossilisation by making their own salt dough fossils, discovered dino diets by crafting 'coprolites' (fossilised poo), and built dinosaur skeletons from pasta to learn about body shapes and features. Sensory trays, complete with an erupting volcano, allowed them to explore different habitats.
The day was filled with fun and learning, leaving Year 1 with an even deeper love for dinosaurs. A huge thanks to the parents for the amazing costumes and joining in the fun!
