The U15 girls basketball 🏀 team were in action again tonight. This time, hosting St. Austin’s for our first home fixture.
There was a big Braeburn crowd in to watch the girls. The loud partisan crowd didn’t distract the girls and they stayed focused on man marking st Austin’s and restricting there scoring opportunities.
After a first tense quarter, Braeburn broke away scoring multiple baskets unanswered. Our tough defence created the platform for our offense.
The game was combative and fast paced with both teams battling hard until the end. With 1 minute teaming on the clock, Braeburn where up by 3 points and the game was in the balance. Chloe managed to steal and inbound and Braeburn scored from the resulting turnover and secured the victory, 18-13.
Natalie was voted MVP. Next game is on Friday aganist the Swedish school with another three more games next week.
