Basketball Shows Growth Among U13 Boys

7th February 2026

On Saturday, 7th February, our U13 boys enjoyed a valuable day of basketball at the International School of Kenya, playing two teams and giving every player the chance to showcase their skills in a competitive setting. The squad was split into Braeburn Blues and Braeburn Whites, allowing all boys meaningful game time and the opportunity to put their training into practice.

The Braeburn Blues recorded two wins and three losses, with the focus firmly on applying the newly learned zone defence introduced in recent sessions. While still a work in progress, it was encouraging to see the boys attempt the system under pressure. The team showed clear improvement in court awareness, particularly in looking up while dribbling and spotting fast-break opportunities, and they demonstrated strong resilience by bouncing back positively after defeats.

Braeburn Whites played four matches across the day and showed great commitment and teamwork throughout. Although they were unable to secure a win, the boys grew in confidence from game to game, learning from mistakes and showing steady progress as they applied the skills developed during basketball club sessions.
