Braeburn are the KAIS U13 Boys Hockey Champions!

Braeburn’s B teams gained invaluable experience during the KAISSO hockey tournaments held this past week. The Under 9 tournament took place on Thursday, 20th March, followed by the Under 11 and Under 13 tournaments on Saturday. Uniquely within schools in Kenya, Braeburn provides our B teams, and not only our A teams, with the opportunity to compete and develop their skills on a competitive stage.
The Under 9 teams gave their best effort, with the highlight of the tournament being the outstanding defensive performance of the girls' team, who did not concede a single goal throughout the competition. The players demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and determination, gaining confidence in their abilities.
Meanwhile, the Under 11 boys team put on a strong performance, finishing in second place after a hard-fought tournament. Their dedication and teamwork were evident throughout, and they should be proud of their achievement.
The Under 13 boys team put on an exceptional display, winning the tournament in style. After topping their group in the group stages, they secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Crawford in the semi-finals. In the final, they delivered a commanding 2-0 win against Oshwal, showcasing their skill and teamwork. A special mention goes to Mohamed who was chosen as the MVP of the tournament. Congratulations to the Under 13 boys for their fantastic achievement!
