2nd July 2023
On Friday 30th June, 12 Braeburn scouts departed for the 3rd annual International Scouts Camp hosted in Northlands City at Peponi Secondary School. There was a lot of excitement in the group because some scouts were camping together with scouts from other schools for the first time.
At the opening ceremony, children were asked to display their favourite artistic talents. Edward Kendall stepped forward and played the piano for the 212 scouts gathered at the Peponi Auditorium. Well done, Mac!
Day two saw the scouts’ resilience, endurance, and mental strength come under sharp focus due to the exciting activities that were on offer: an obstacle course, cycling, archery, a balancing challenge, 'fishing', running, and walking. By the evening of that day, our scouts were exhausted, but smiling with a sense of accomplishment for the job well done. On the closing day, all the participants were given beautiful scarves as a memento from the camp.
A huge thank you to Peponi House for the remarkable organisation of the camp, we look forward to the next camp to be held in 2024 and hosted by St. Andrew's Turi.
BRAVOOO! VO!
