Braeburn Celebrates Francophonie Day

23rd March 2023

On Thursday 23rd March, the French speaking community at Braeburn came together to celebrate ‘La Journée Internationale de la Francophonie’ (the international day for French speaking countries) which was officially held on the 20th of March. A group of pupils from Year 3-8 performed a variety of different songs, poems, jokes and pieces of theatre for the rest of the school.

4K excelled in their performance of 'Blanche Neige et les sept nains sports', an adaptation of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. Many pupils from the rest of the school were impressed by how much of the French language spoken in the show they had understood - down to the excellent acting skills of the pupils who took part and their own progress in the language.
