Braeburn Cross-Country Runners Dig Deep

27th April 2023

It has been a quick turnaround for Braeburn’s cross-country runners. Straight out of the holidays, they had to lace up their running shoes and take part in a cross-country warm up competition at Kenton College on Thursday 27th April. It was a challenge to push through the strain and fatigue, especially coming off a 2 week hiatus from training, but as usual the Braeburn team put up a spirited effort, enabling commendable results such as the 3rd place in the Under 9 girls category.

Overall Braeburn emerged 4th, a position we are determined to improve on through regular and rigorous training both at school and within Karura Forest. Our runners are building both speed and endurance during the weekly training, which is part of the preparation for the IAPS Cross-Country event slated to take place at St. Andrew's, Turi on 13th May, and the KAISSO Cross-Country event that will be held at Braeburn Nanyuki on the same day.

All the best to the athletes who will represent Braeburn School in the upcoming competitions.
