31st October 2024
On Thursday, 31st of October, Braeburn came together in a meaningful show of solidarity and support for the fight against breast cancer by hosting its annual Pink Day. The event not only aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer but also to emphasise the importance of compassion, empathy, and community support for those affected by the disease.
In a vibrant display of unity, students and staff alike donned touches of pink—whether in ribbons, shirts, or accessories. The colour symbolises both strength and resilience, honouring those who have bravely battled breast cancer and standing with those currently fighting.
Adding to the event's significance, Braeburn held a bake sale, with a selection of delicious goods donated from parents, students and teachers. The proceeds from the sale will be handed over to the Faraja Cancer Trust, a respected cancer organisation in Kenya dedicated to offering support, resources, and counselling to patients and their families.
The Braeburn community is proud to contribute to the fight and stands committed to promoting awareness and support for breast cancer and all those it affects.
