Braeburn Makes a Move at Braeside Chess Tournament

Braeburn proudly participated in an exhilarating chess tournament hosted by Braeside School, bringing a team of 17 enthusiastic students. The competition featured three categories: Under 8's, Under 10's, and Under 12's, with each student expected to play six rounds. Our young strategists demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the event, competing against several other schools within Nairobi. The tournament provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to challenge themselves, hone their chess skills, and engage with peers who share their passion for the game.

In the Under 8's category, Diansh impressively secured third place, winning three of his six games. In the Under 10's, Haroon excelled by winning five out of six games, earning a well-deserved second place. These outstanding individual performances contributed to Braeburn School's overall achievement of coming second out of five schools.

This remarkable performance reflects the dedication and hard work of our students and the excellent guidance of our chess coaches. Braeburn School's participation in this tournament not only brought home prestigious accolades but also strengthened our students' confidence and love for the game.
