Braeburn Perseveres at IAPS Cross Country Event

On the 12th of June, the IAPS Cross Country meet was held at St. Andrew's, Turi, having been postponed to Week 7 due to the heavy rains earlier in the term. The Braeburn School team travelled up the day before the event, arriving in time to walk the course and familiarise themselves with the terrain. The U9 boys and girls, along with the U11 girls, had a 3km course, the U11 boys and U13 girls ran 4.75km, and the U13 boys faced a 5.1km challenge. The weather was perfect, and the team gave a strong performance.
The U9 girls were the standout performers, winning their category despite tying in points with Peponi. We commend the team for a commendable effort and persevering spirit, and look forward to even better results next year.
