6th February 2018
The annual mega camp happened last week in Kembu. 6 Braeburn schools took part, with 80 scouts converging to make friends and learn team work.
Various activities were on offer including making chicken coups; a farm tour to see the cows and horses, the shearing of sheep and subsequent carding of the wool, and weaving! Children who had money got the opportunity to purchase wool teddies and merchandise from the Kenana Knitters. There was also an obstacle courses; first aid course; Amazing Race and Archery!
We had plenty of fun and this was capped by entertainment on the last night around the bonfire. Next year we will be back for another tour, this time might be in Naro Moru. Watch this space.
