🎓 Braeburn Senior School Career Day (Y9, Y11 & Y12)

On Thursday the 26th of February various professional representatives from diverse companies came to engage with us Braeburn students. This was truly an amazing event as these speakers shared their personal experiences and real world professional journeys that had led them to the careers they are currently in. This event was an eye opener as we got to see some of the behind the scenes of multiple industries like medical, engineering, finance and many more career paths. By allowing us to see these different behind the scene views, it helped us visualize our own paths in the future and how we may contribute to society as we go on in life.
During the event, I gained valuable professional insight on which careers may be viable later on in life, whether discussing the development of technology, like AI. Or the insights into determining property values from real estate. I learnt that success comes from your approach and your mentality, specifically the ability to adapt to almost anything and to keep an open mind to different scenarios. I personally enjoyed the financial sector as I learnt that global markets and data drive the decisions that shape our world, reinforcing the importance of having an analytical and strategic mindset.
