Braeburn Swimming Club Shines at 2025 NCSA Level 3 Championships

The 2025 NCSA Level 3 Championships, held at Peponi School on February 22-23, brought together some of the most talented young swimmers in the region. Among the standout athletes were Bernice Mounif Praud, Boluwatife Alfred-Olajide, Romar Marvin De Guzman, and Rovin Marco De Guzman of Braeburn Swimming Club, who delivered remarkable performances and secured multiple podium finishes.

Bernice Mounif Praud: A Powerhouse in the Pool

Bernice Mounif Praud demonstrated her versatility and endurance with an impressive haul of medals. She secured three gold medals in the Girls’ 400-meter Freestyle, 100 IM, and 100-meter Breaststroke. Her prowess extended to the 100-meter Freestyle, where she earned a silver medal, and the 50-meter Butterfly, where she clinched bronze. Additionally, she took home another silver in the 200 IM, further cementing her status as one of the top swimmers of the competition.

Boluwatife Alfred-Olajide: Dominating the Sprint Events

Boluwatife Alfred-Olajide showcased her speed and technical skills in multiple events, securing an impressive four gold medals. She topped the podium in the Girls’ 50-meter Freestyle, 200-meter Freestyle, 50-meter Butterfly, and 50-meter Backstroke. She also earned a bronze medal in the 100-meter Backstroke, proving her ability to compete across different distances and strokes.

Romar Marvin De Guzman: A Dual Gold Medalist

Romar Marvin De Guzman delivered outstanding performances, dominating his events and claiming two gold medals. He emerged victorious in the Boys’ 100-meter Backstroke, displaying impeccable technique and power to outpace his rivals. His success continued in the 100-meter Breaststroke, where his strong and efficient strokes secured him another gold medal. His remarkable achievements underscored his ability to excel in multiple disciplines and solidified his reputation as a top contender.

Rovin Marco De Guzman: A Rising Backstroke Specialist

Rovin Marco De Guzman also made a strong impression at the championships, competing in four events: 100-meter Backstroke, 50-meter Freestyle, 200-meter Freestyle, and 100-meter Freestyle. His standout performance came in the 100-meter Backstroke, where he exhibited great composure and speed to earn a well-deserved bronze medal. Though he narrowly missed the podium in his freestyle events, his strong performances highlighted his growing potential and determination to compete at a high level.
