Braeburn @ Young Musician of the Year 2024

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Young Musicians Competition at Kenton College where Braeburn was well represented. With an impressive turnout of approximately 70 talented entrants across various categories, the event became a true celebration of youthful musical prowess.

Following rigorous preliminary rounds, six outstanding musicians earned the chance to compete in the junior category. Among them was the remarkable Leo Wang (Year 4), whose musical skills captivated both judges and audience alike. On the grand finals stage held on March 3rd, Leo once again showcased his piano expertise, and despite being just 8 years old, his performance stood out, securing a notable third place overall.

It's noteworthy that the junior category was specifically designed for participants below 13 years old. Witnessing such young musicians display passion and dedication to their craft is truly awe-inspiring. Leo exhibited incredible maturity and poise beyond his years. We extend our warmest congratulations to him for his exceptional achievement in the competition, hoping this marks only the beginning of a promising musical journey filled with many more successes to come.
