Braeburn’s Bonfire Night: Glow, Drums and Fireworks!

5th November 2025

Braeburn’s beloved Bonfire Night returned on Wednesday, 5th November, drawing parents, teachers, and children to the school field for an evening of excitement and celebration. The atmosphere was alive from the moment families arrived—African drums echoed across the grounds, the great bonfire crackled warmly at the centre, and four colourful bouncy castles kept children squealing with delight. All around, the mouth-watering aromas of both sweet and savoury treats drifted through the air, adding to the festive spirit.

As dusk settled, the field transformed into a glowing sea of light. Children waved vibrant glow sticks, their colours flickering against the darkening sky as everyone waited eagerly for the highlight of the evening: the fireworks. At exactly 7:20 pm, the show began with a thunderous bang, and what followed was nothing short of spectacular. Shooting stars, rainbow bursts, and shimmering patterns danced across the night sky in perfect harmony, drawing cheers and gasps from the crowd. It was a display to remember.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined in this cherished community event. It is always uplifting to see the entire Braeburn family—Primary through to Secondary—come together in such joyful celebration. Special appreciation goes to FAB (Friends at Braeburn) for their hard work and organisation, the vendors for their fantastic offerings, and the school operations team for ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
