3rd March 2023
At the beginning of Term 2, Pupils from Year 3 to 8 started this journey by showcasing their talents to their peers and teachers. They underwent a rigorous selection process; first by classmates, then year group, and finally, it all came to a head at the final competition held on Friday 3rd March.
First up were the Year 8s with a 3 person band (Kailan, Marty and Tara) that sang and performed 3 songs alongside playing the drums and electric guitar. Then came the beautiful dance that celebrated Kenya’s vibrant culture by Year 6’s Stacy and Ava, followed by the amazing Year 4 magicians; Alvaro, Sydney, Haneen and Aiobheann. Katherine, Year 3, wasn’t to be outdone, she commanded the stage as she danced to the popular song ‘Made You Look’ by Meghan Trainor. And last, but by no means least, were the very smooth Year 5 boys with a lip sync performance to the all time classic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley.
We are amazed and proud of the talent showcased by all our pupils, including those who did not make it to the finals. We look forward to seeing the talent showcased developed and skills sharpened even after the final results are released at the end of week 8.
