31st October 2023
Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been celebrated every October for the last 90 years. It is called 'Pink October' as people around the world adopt the pink colour and display a pink ribbon to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and routine screening for the early diagnosis of breast cancer, which is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer globally. This year's theme was, 'No one should face breast cancer alone'. To honour this year’s theme, Braeburn, led by our head of Languages, Mrs. Winnie Chege, dressed up in pink and donned pink ribbons. Donations were made to the Faraja Cancer Support Trust. A massive thank you to our parents for contributing to this worthy cause.
