BTEC Business trip to the Kenya Redcross Society

9th May 2026

Our business class recently went on an educational trip to the Kenya Red Cross Society, and it was an incredibly informative and memorable experience. During the visit, we learnt a great deal about humanitarian aid and the important role the organisation plays in helping communities during emergencies and disasters. The staff explained how the Red Cross responds to crises, provides medical assistance, and supports vulnerable people across the country. One of the most interesting parts of the trip was learning how their ambulance services operate and how trained teams respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations. We were able to see the level of teamwork, organisation, and dedication required in their daily operations, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the work they do.

The trip was not only educational but also inspiring, as it showed us the importance of helping others and making a positive impact in society. We asked questions, interacted with professionals, and gained valuable knowledge that connected well with what we have been learning in business class. To end the day, we were treated to a delicious lunch at The Boma Restaurant, where we enjoyed good food and reflected on everything we had learnt throughout the trip. Overall, it was a fun, engaging, and eye-opening experience that we will all remember.
