A Meaningful Journey of Giving and Joy at Dagoretti Muslim primary school.

The journey to Dagoretti Muslim Primary School for a community service initiative organized by the Red Cross club was truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, there was a sense of excitement and purpose, as everyone looked forward to making a difference. The trip itself was amazing, filled with energy, laughter, and anticipation for what the day would bring.

One of the most special moments was giving the children bags filled with useful items they could use with their families, especially during Ramadan and Eid. Knowing that these small contributions could bring comfort and joy to their homes made the experience even more meaningful. It was not just about giving, but about sharing kindness and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

Meeting the children was easily the highlight of the visit. Their warmth and happiness were contagious, and it did not take long before everyone was singing songs together and enjoying each other’s company. The atmosphere was lively and full of joy, creating memories that will last for a long time. Visiting their classrooms was also a fun experience, offering a glimpse into their daily lives and learning environment.

Spreading Love Through Service: A Red Cross Visit to Mama Fatuma’s Children Home

During the holy month of Ramadan, our school’s Red Cross club organized a community service visit to Mama Fatuma’s Children Home. The trip was not only an opportunity to give back, but also a chance to connect with others and truly understand the meaning of compassion and generosity.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the children, whose smiles and excitement immediately made us feel at home. We spent the day interacting with them, playing games, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other’s company. It was heartwarming to see how something as simple as spending time together could bring so much joy.

One of the most meaningful parts of the visit was talking to the children and learning more about their lives. They openly shared their experiences, dreams, and daily routines, allowing us to see the world from their perspective. They also took us on a tour of their home, showing us where they live, study, and spend their time.

Being there during Ramadan made the experience even more special. It reminded us of the importance of kindness, empathy, and giving to others. The visit was not just about what we could offer, but also about the lessons we learned from the children, lessons about resilience, gratitude, and finding happiness in simple moments.

Overall, the trip to Mama Fatuma’s Children Home was a truly memorable experience. It allowed us to build meaningful connections, spread love, and reflect on the values that bring us together as a community. It is an experience that will stay with us and continue to inspire us to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
