Last Friday, the school was alive with excitement as students participated in the much-anticipated Business Day. This yearly event allowed students to put on the shoes of entrepreneurs, demonstrating their creativity and business skills.
The school tennis court was turned into a vibrant marketplace, complete with different stands selling a wide range of goods and services. The variety of ideas was absolutely astounding, ranging from homemade crafts and tasty foods to technology-inspired games.
Students worked diligently to develop, build, and sell their businesses, utilising principles from business studies classes. Customers— teachers and fellow students—flocked to the stalls, proving their hard work worthwhile. Some firms even made an unexpected profit such as the famous sipping station.
Aside from the financial component, the day was an excellent learning opportunity. Students learned about cooperation, customer service, and problem solving while having fun. The highlight of the event was when several of the teams were able to sell out of their respective products and services.
Business Day is a cornerstone of our school's dedication to developing future leaders and entrepreneurs. Congratulations to all participants for their fantastic efforts, and on behalf of the participants' team, I'd like to express a big thank you to the business teachers within the business department for allowing the business day to take place every year and giving us the stage to showcase our entrepreneurship.
