Braeburn’s World Scholars shone at the Tournament of Champions (ToC) hosted at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, from October 31 to November 11. With over 3000 scholars from 80 nations, the event showcased academic excellence and international collaboration. Our delegation of 10 scholars, including 7 high school students and 3 from the primary section, garnered immense pride. One scholar received the prestigious Top Scholar Award in the Asimov category, a testament to Braeburn's commitment to excellence. The World Scholars Cup, spanning Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholars Challenge, and Scholar's Bowl, saw our scholars excelling in both Junior and Senior divisions.
The scholars also enjoyed enriching experiences like engaging with current Yale students, they gained valuable insights for potential Ivy League admissions, and explored Boston, visiting MIT and Harvard Universities, gaining first hand exposure to both their academic and cultural aspects. A city tour of Boston, including the Boston Tea Party Museum, provided a historical perspective, and while venturing into New York City, the scholars immersed themselves in iconic locations, broadening both academic and cultural horizons.
