Celebrating Chinese Culture!

A select group of our pupils from Year 6 to 13 had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese culture during a special visit to the Chinese Embassy on Monday, 1st June. The event began with a speech from the Ambassador, followed by a vibrant programme of entertainment featuring performances from the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Kenyan secondary school pupils learning Chinese, and Chinese students. The celebrations also included a lively tug-of-war, which added to the excitement and fun of the day.
The pupils enjoyed exploring different aspects of Chinese culture through displays of history, writing, knitting, and traditional food. They were delighted to sample a variety of Chinese snacks and dishes, giving them a memorable taste of the culture. The day was filled with smiles, learning, and new experiences, and every pupil was thrilled to receive a gift to take home as a special reminder of the occasion.
