Celebrating Growth and Achievement at Prize Day

6th July 2026

The ultimate prize for all of us is growth - the progress we make, the resilience we build, and the people we become each day.

Our Prize Day was a wonderful celebration of this belief. As we came together to mark the end of another successful school year, we recognised students whose dedication, perseverance and commitment have enabled them to achieve excellence. Awards were presented not only for outstanding academic achievement across subjects, but also for exceptional progress, sporting excellence, and all-round contribution to school life. Every award represented a unique journey of effort, determination, discipline and personal growth.

Beyond the awards themselves, the day showcased what makes our school community so special. Our student performances were truly inspiring, highlighting the remarkable talent, creativity and confidence that flourish both inside and outside the classroom. From music performances and poetry presentations, our students demonstrated the breadth of opportunities available at Braeburn and the courage to share their gifts with others.

A special mention goes to our Student Senators, whose leadership was nothing short of exceptional. They coordinated their peers with maturity, professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring the event ran seamlessly from beginning to end. Their calm organisation, attention to detail and willingness to serve reflected the very qualities we hope to nurture in every Braeburn student.

Events such as Prize Day are never the work of one person. They are made possible through the partnership between students, teachers, support staff and parents, all working together to help our young people flourish. It truly takes a community to raise a child, and Prize Day was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we share that commitment.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and, indeed, to every student who has embraced opportunities to learn, grow and contribute this year. As we head into the holiday, we celebrate not only the achievements of today, but also the character, resilience and lifelong love of learning that will shape our students' futures.
