Our Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 Creative Arts students enjoyed an inspiring educational trip to Banana Hill Art Gallery and One-Off Contemporary Art Gallery. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to explore a wide range of Kenyan artists’ work, from large expressive paintings to detailed sculptures and unique mixed-media pieces.
Throughout the visit, the students engaged closely with the exhibitions, asking thoughtful questions and discovering new perspectives on art and storytelling. They were especially excited to take part in a hands-on workshop, where professional artists demonstrated canvas stretching, priming techniques and even live painting. The experience allowed our learners to see the creative process up-close and appreciate the skill and passion behind every artwork.
We captured many beautiful moments of curiosity, reflection and joy, a testament to how deeply the students connected with the art around them. It was a day that broadened their imagination and strengthened their confidence as young creators.
We look forward to seeing how these experiences will influence their own artistic journeys in the classroom and beyond.
