Tuesday morning! Out of bed by 4:30 AM. The only thing that got me moving was the adrenaline rush—the excitement of heading to the coast, the beach, the sea! Sleepy-eyed, we boarded the school bus, but the real fun began once we stepped onto the SGR. It was no ordinary train ride—it was a full-on party! Food, music, and endless chatter set the mood as we sped off toward Diani.
After six hours of travel, we finally reached our destination—only to be greeted by a wave of humid air that hit our tired faces like a punch. Not the warmest welcome, but the salty sea breeze and the thrill of adventure pulled us through.
Our three days in Diani were packed with incredible activities—snorkeling, water games, and, of course, soaking up all the vitamin SEA! While the geographers got to work measuring waves, the rest of us made the most of the beach. As responsible citizens of Braeburn, we also took time to clean up the shore, ensuring a safe and clean habitat for turtles.
Evenings were just as magical. From karaoke nights and pool table showdowns to capturing the night views and dressing up for dinner, every moment was filled with laughter, bonding, and unforgettable memories.
But as all great things must come to an end, so did our Diani adventure. No one wanted to leave, yet the humidity seemed to push us back onto the train, signaling our return to the city.
For me, the best part of the trip was waking up early to watch the sunrise over the Indian Ocean. The peace and quiet, the mesmerizing colors of the sky, and their reflection on the waters—it was a moment of pure serenity.
A huge thank you to our teachers and the Infinity Outdoors team for looking after us and making this trip a truly memorable one!
