Dino Day was a roaring success. The day began with a drizzly but wonderful parade in which the pupils got to share their amazing and creative dinosaur costumes with parents, Year 2 and Early Years pupils.
Following that, the day consisted of many dinosaur activities that helped pupils expand their knowledge of dinausaurs. They learnt about fossils and paleontologists, and then made their very own fossil biscuits. Then came the creation of fantastic dino hats and tails as they learnt about the different parts of a dinosaur. The little dinosaurs also had a chance to explore outdoors within a dino small world, reading books about dinosaurs and playing in lots of fun mud and water. There was a lot of discussion about the different types of dinosaur footprints, culminating in the making of brightly coloured t-shirts with dino footprints on them.
All in all, it was a terrific day with lots of happy memories made. A massive dino thank you to all the parents for helping by bringing in T-Shirts and for the amazing costumes that the pupils wore.
