Double Podium for Braeburn at the 2025 Under 9 KAISSO Netball & Rugby Tournament

On Thursday 12th June, our U9 girls and boys teams travelled to Braeside Thika for the 2025 KAISSO Netball and Rugby Tournament and returned with fantastic results. The U9 A girls netball team were in superb form, winning all their matches and being crowned the 2025 KAIS Under 9 Netball Champions. With dominant victories in the group stage over Woodcreek (8-0), Nairobi Academy (3-2), Braeside Thika (11-0), and Brookhouse Karen (6-0), they carried their momentum through the knockout rounds, beating Oshwal (7-0) in the quarterfinals and Braeside Lavington (3-2) in a thrilling semifinal. In the final, they met Nairobi Academy once again and sealed the title with an emphatic 8-2 win.
The U9 B boys rugby team also had a strong showing, finishing 3rd overall in a competitive field. They started with impressive group-stage victories against Woodcreek, Nairobi Academy, and Braeside Thika, only narrowly losing to Brookhouse. In the quarterfinals, they overcame Braeside Lavington with confidence, but their journey to the final was halted by a tough Hillcrest side in the semifinals. Undeterred, the boys finished the tournament on a high with a solid win against Braeburn Nanyuki in the third-place playoff.
Both teams demonstrated tremendous skill, resilience, and teamwork throughout the day. Their positive attitude, determination, and sportsmanship made the school proud.
