The sounds and excitement of the Early Man was ringing around the KS1 playground as they stomped and danced. It was a KS1 (with EYFS making a brief appearance) Early Man parade and party experience with a difference - some interesting facts were discovered during the parade... did you know that early man had a 'tool kit' that included stone cores, hammer stones and sharp flakes? This and so much more was learnt during our exciting Early Man day.
Some background to the Early Man curriculum enrichment day: Due to the excitement and interest in the topic, Year 2 pupils held an ‘Early Man dress up day’ where the children came in costumes designed and made at home. The pupils did many arts and crafts and had an absolutely prehistoric terrific day!
My name is Dave
I live in a cave,
Everything is good as it should be
In the prehistorical neighborhood
There's peace and quiet, not a lot of stress,
Except for that volcano, now that's a hot mess!
What am I, I'm glad that you asked, I'm from thousands and thousands of years in the past
I'm the one that they all call paleolithic, I'm caveman Daveman, I'm terrific!
