Early Years and Key Stage 1 Put on a Show!

30th November 2022

Our Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils put on fantastic Christmas productions on Wednesday, 30th November, and Thursday, 1st December respectively. It was amazing to see our youngest pupils enjoying being on stage and performing for a full house of family and friends with such confidence and enthusiasm.

The Early Years production was titled ‘Ralph the Reindeer’. The famous Rudolf was sick and could not help Santa deliver presents, so Ralph decided to fill Rudolph’s very big shoes despite not knowing how to fly. It was a very comical but heartwarming account of how Ralph helps Santa, teaching pupils values such as hard work, perseverance, and a can-do spirit.

The Key Stage 1 production consisted of Year 1 and 2 pupils, and was titled ‘A Christmas Journey’. Gerdah, a young girl, goes on a journey in search of her lost brother, Kai, and along the way encounters different communities celebrating holidays such as Diwali, Hanukkah and Christmas. The pupils' commitment of numerous lines to memory was truly inspiring, as well as their knowledge of the diversity of celebrations that occur during the festive season.

Well done to all the pupils, teachers and teaching assistants, technical staff and parents for supporting the artistic development and expression of Braeburn’s young actors and actresses.
