FAB flood appeal - update
18th June 2024
A big thank you to the Braeburn community for the amazing response to our Flood Relief initiative, we were overwhelmed with your generosity and kindness! The bake sale and cash donations generated over KSh 100,000 and we were able to send 3 buses full of clothing and bedding donations to Mathare Special Training Centre (a school for disabled children), Missionary of Charity in Huruma/Mathare, and Korogosho Child of Purpose with more distributions coming soon.
In addition to the clothing donations from the Braeburn Community, Animet Uniform Shop generously donated an entire busload of brand-new uniform items from their old stock that we were able to combine with our Braeburn donations. FAB will next be using the cash donations to facilitate food donations to these and other charities in the coming week and will be addressing other individual flood-related requests, for example: a roof repair at Riruta Shade Orphanage and new desks for Bethany Joy School in Kawangware.
