Financial Literacy Trip to the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

16th March 2024

On Thursday 14th March, we had the privilege of going to the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) to learn about stocks and finance. They talked about a variety of things such as: their history as a company, market participants, the types of securities traded within the NSE. This has broadened our knowledge within our course because we are currently covering sources of finance within our BTEC unit. This trip has helped us with any issues that we have come across within our work.

It was an eye-opening experience as well as an enjoyable one. For me my biggest take away from this talk is that we learnt about when is the best time to invest, this has allowed me to be more knowledgeable when it comes to investing in the stock market.
