Football and Athletics Seasons Begin at Braeburn!

As we embark on a new term at Braeburn School, we are excited to announce the start of both the football and athletics seasons. For the next 7 weeks, these two beloved sports will be played concurrently, giving our pupils ample time to develop their skills, deepen their knowledge, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with team sports. This dual focus reflects our commitment to providing a well-rounded athletic experience that caters to the diverse interests of our pupils.
Quick reminders:
- While playing football: all players are required to wear shin pads and long socks during practices and matches to ensure their safety on the field.
- Additionally, as we prepare for the weekly fixtures against other schools, we ask parents to provide permission for their children to attend these events here.
- The schedule for the fixtures is as follows:
- Under 11 Teams (Year 5 and 6) will play every Tuesday at 2:00pm.
- Under 13 Teams (Year 7 and 8) every Wednesday at 2:00pm.
- Under 9 Teams (Year 3 and 4) every Thursday at 2:00pm.
- Parents are encouraged to follow the progress of their child’s team by logging onto our sports website, SOCS, where fixture scheduling, updates and results will be posted regularly.
