Girls @ the Under 13 IAPS Hockey Tournament

The Under 13 Girls went into the tournament with a great attitude. In their first game, they played with amazing grit and defended with energy. The game was close, and Banda had a plethora of opportunities. But, towards the end, Braeburn managed to score, with a great shot from Olivia. The final result, a win for Braeburn!
In the second game, Braeburn were on a high and the girls again fought hard against their opposition, Pembroke. Braeburn had some close shots on goal, but couldn't find the net. The end result, a 0-0 draw. A fair result, but Braeburn had the run of the play and Claire put in a good shot in defence.
Peponi B team were up next. They had performed well in their past games, but Braeburn were really up for this game. Braeburn had most of the play, and we're so close to scoring on 2 occasions. The result, another 0-0 draw.
The game against Hillcrest was full of passion. Hillcrest had played the game before, so Braeburn were expecting them to be tired. However, they came out hard against Braeburn, and managed to put 2 goals past Braeburn. The girls put in a great effort, and some opportunities, but it wasn't to be.
Well done to all the Under 13 girls: Linda, Wawi, Terrell, Claire, Dieuwke, Nerry, Steph, Olivia, Nkini and Eden.
