Great Attitude Displayed at the Under 11 & 13 Netball Tournament

10th June 2023

All the ball catching, ball throwing, spatial movement and communication skills our girls have been developing in netball throughout the term came to a climax at the IAPS Netball Tournament held at The Banda on Saturday 10th June. The Under 11 A and B teams, as well as the Under 13 1st and 2nd teams took part in a whopping total of 76 games that were played on the day.

First up were the group stages where the Braeburn teams played a set of 3 games, some of them being very competitive with B teams pitted against A teams and 2nd teams against 1st teams. Despite the stiff competition, all of our teams moved through to the quarter finals, where they showed great attitude, maturity and team spirit, fighting hard until the whistle was blown. Even though Braeburn did not move onto the semi finals, the quarter final results were close, mostly with a difference of 1 or 2 goals, which is a testament to how stiff the competition was. For now it is back to the training grounds, with our girls determined to triumph over the remaining fixtures against Kenton College and The Banda.

Special mention goes to Anissa Etale, Malaika Abila, Aminata Fatty and Tiffany Kulaba who were selected to represent the Nairobi West teams in the regional games that took place on Sunday 11th June.
