As we approach the half-term break, it’s a good moment to slow down and take a breath.
The first half of the term has been full — new routines, busy days, learning, friendships, and plenty of change along the way. It’s no wonder many of us are feeling a mix of pride, tiredness, and perhaps even a little “I just need a break.”
This midpoint in the term gives us a chance to pause, look back, and gather ourselves before the next stretch.
For students, it’s an opportunity to celebrate what’s gone well and acknowledge the effort you’ve put in.
For staff and parents, it’s also a gentle reminder to care for your own energy — you’ve been holding a lot, too.

Rest isn’t something we earn only after being productive — it’s what keeps us balanced and human.
When we take time to rest, reflect, and recharge, we give our minds and bodies the space they need to reset. That’s how we stay focused, calm, and emotionally steady when life gets busy again.

● Reconnect: Spend time with people who lift you up — family, friends, or anyone who makes you laugh and feel seen.

● Reflect and refocus: Take a quiet moment to think about what you’re proud of this half term, and what you’d like to carry forward after the break.
Let’s use this break to rest, laugh, and breathe a little deeper — a reminder that taking care of our wellbeing helps us show up better for everything and everyone we care about.
