Horse Riding Club

Horse riding club is a big hit this term and our 16 equine enthusiasts are enjoying themselves immensely.
The children have assistance and then ride independently when they become more able to hold the reins, manage the horse and feel confident. We also teach them to show respect for the tutor, the assistants and the horses. As well as this we are learning about the equipment used such as bridles, stirrups and saddles. We are also going to be learning about strengthening our core in order to have a good upright sitting position, especially when we trot. We even get to look at the rabbits, ducks and the cat and the next step is horse management.
We love to see the confidence and fun the children are experiencing learning and growing!
