Inter-Braeburn Swimming Gala & Awards Celebration

This past weekend, on September 14th and 15th, our swimmers shone brightly at the Inter-Braeburn Gala, held across two venues - Braeside Lavington for the 11 & Under events and Braeburn School for the 12 & Over. Our teams showcased their talent and determination, securing top positions across multiple categories.

For the Primary Gala (11 & Under), our swimmers claimed victory as the Overall Winners, with the 9 & Under girls, 11 & Under girls, and 11 & Under boys all emerging as champions in their categories. In the Secondary Gala (12 & Over), our team fought hard and secured an impressive 3rd place. Overall, we ranked 3rd out of all Braeburn schools.

The event was also a special moment to celebrate the accomplishments of our swimmers throughout the 2023/2024 academic year. Various awards were presented to swimmers who have shown exceptional growth and performance:

• Sofie Pauwels was named the Most Improved Swimmer in the 9 & Under category.
• Caitlin Oyaro received the award for Most Improved Swimmer in the 10 & Over category.
• Berenice Praud was nominated as the Most Valuable Girl in the 10 & Over category.
• Marvin De Guzman earned the title of Most Valuable Boy in the 10 & Over category.

A big congratulations to these swimmers for their exceptional dedication and progress. Their hard work has paid off, and they’ve set a high standard for the coming year. We’re incredibly proud of all our athletes and their accomplishments!
