Inventors in Action!

19th November 2024

On Tuesday, 19th November, Braeburn hosted the 1st edition of the much-anticipated Invention Convention. The event brought together over 200 budding innovators from Years 3 to 8, showcasing a delightful array of inventions designed to help people or solve real-world problems.

The convention was the culmination of weeks of hard work, with pupils dedicating time since the first half of the term to dream up and build their creations. From light-up shoes to cat treat vending machines, solar-powered night lights, hypnotising spoons for fussy eaters, and even new board games, the diversity of ideas on display was both impressive and inspiring. Some pupils even ventured into culinary innovation with new food recipes that tantalised the taste buds of attendees.

What stood out most was the enthusiasm of the young inventors as they presented and explained their ideas, their pride in their creations, and the inspiration they drew from one another. It was heartening to witness the exchange of creativity and ingenuity as pupils explored their peers' inventions.

A huge thank you to the parents and teachers who supported the inventors throughout this journey. Your encouragement and guidance played a pivotal role in making the event a success.
