KAISSO U9 Hockey Champions!

On Thursday 28th February, our under 9 boys and girls participated in the KAISSO hockey tournament at St. Christopher’s, and what a remarkable day it was. Our teams started strongly, with both the U9 girls and U9 boys performing very well in all their matches.
In a pool of 6 schools, our girls team won two games and drew 3 others without conceding a goal. They then played in the semi-finals against St Christopher’s. It was a closely competed game, finishing 0-0. It then went to penalty shoot-outs, with St. Christopher’s squeezing through by a single goal.
The boys advanced from the group stage matches to the finals without conceding a goal. They won their semi-final and then played wonderfully in the final to be crowned 2019 KAISSO champions, with our own Trey Garner being awarded most valuable player of the tournament.
Both teams are to be highly commended for their effort, superb attitude, team work and great sportsmanship.
