Mighty Soldiers, Olympians, Gods and Goddesses at Year 3’s Ancient Greek Day!

24th February 2023

Year 3s had a fabulous celebration of all the knowledge they had acquired about Ancient Greeks. Pupils dressed up as different characters, from gods and goddesses, to mythical creatures, to soldiers who fought in the Trojan War. The day started off with a fashion parade and dancing, and then everyone learnt how to write their names in Greek. Next came the making of beautiful Greek pottery where everyone got a chance to fashion their own designs.

A huge Greek feast was held in the afternoon where pupils enjoyed scrumptious food that was especially loved by the Ancient Greeks. Finally, the day ended in a relaxing manner with a treat to watch the movie ‘Hercules’. All in all, it was a fun filled day that saw Year 3’s reminisce fondly about all that they had learned about the Greeks.

“It was the best day ever!” some Year 3s were heard saying.
