On Wednesday 19th November 2025, we took two bands to the Peponi Battle of the Bands competition. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to display their talent and also to benchmark with other bands in Nairobi. We had representatives from Year 9, (Ela Austrian, Prajeet Ghose, Noelle Njeri, Serene Naisula and Keza Moshi) as well as Year 11 and 12, whose band name is the Nuclear Cats (Sirletta Sirleaf, Hany Akot, Sukhra Suleiman, Sofia Farrukh and Li Shuaizheng). They really outdid themselves as far as performing and showing stage confidence and notably, Ela was congratulated for a good display of confidence and stage presence in the competition. While we didn’t make the top 3, our school ranked 4th and 5th out of 7 bands total, and this shows us that we have the potential to do even better and it is a learning point for the bands.
We appreciate the support of the school in allowing us to go to these events and we hope that in future we can continue to perform even better and bring better results.
