Fundraising Efforts
During the Valentine's Day Fair, the BTEC and Community Service teams successfully raised Ksh 202,262 for charity. Organizing the event was a challenging yet fulfilling endeavor, and the outcome demonstrated the impact of our collective efforts.
Donation Event at Muslim Primary School, Kawangware
On March 7, 2025, the Community Service team visited Muslim Primary School in Kawangware to distribute gifts and essential goods purchased with the funds raised. This initiative aimed to provide meaningful support to the students and staff of the school.
Upon arrival, the team had the privilege of meeting the Deputy Principal and other faculty members. We were also warmly welcomed by the children who would be receiving the donations.
Proceedings of the Event
The visit commenced with a formal introduction of select Community Service team members, including Bernard and Jazmine. They addressed the school staff and students, offering a brief overview of the purpose of our visit and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to their community.
Following the introduction, students were called individually to receive their donation packages, each containing essential goods. The children lined up in an orderly manner as they collected their gifts. The event concluded with a photo session to commemorate the occasion, after which the team departed from the school.
Conclusion
The Valentine's Day fundraising initiative and the subsequent donation event were resounding successes, highlighting the power of teamwork, dedication, and community engagement. This experience not only reinforced our commitment to service but also underscored the profound impact that collective efforts can have on those in need.
