My Awesome Year 8 Trip to Sagana!

9th May 2025

By Eli, 8J

From the 5th to the 9th of May, our Year 8 class went on a trip to Sagana, and honestly, it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. When we arrived on Monday morning, we were split into smaller groups, and after settling in, we kicked things off with some really fun activities like archery and an obstacle course. It was fun but not as easy as one might think.

Each night, we had some kind of entertainment. Some pupils put on short drama skits or played hilarious games like charades. Even people who were usually quiet joined in, and it was cool seeing everyone getting involved.

The food was Unreal. Probably the best food I’ve had on any school trip. Kudos to the chefs!

Every evening, after the day’s activities, we’d hit the football pitch. We had mixed teams, sometimes pupils vs teachers (which got pretty competitive!), and it was always a laugh. It didn’t matter who won; it was just about having fun together.

The best activity, hands down, was rafting. It was wild, exciting, and honestly, a bit scary—but in a good way! We were screaming and laughing the whole time as the water splashed over us. There was also zip lining, paddle boarding, kayaking, and rock climbing. Each one was amazing in its own way, and there was never a boring moment.

But what really made the trip awesome was the time we got to spend together. People who hadn’t talked much all year were suddenly good friends. It made us feel more connected and made the idea of some of us going to different schools a little less scary.
