The Dragon in the classroom
Can you believe it? A dragon in Year 1....
On Tuesday morning the children entered 1K classroom to find the tables were everywhere, burnt papers were found on the noticeboards and on the desks, strange footprints were found on the floor and on chairs.....
The classroom was a mess. The pupils came up with the idea that it might be a dragon so we decided to imagine what the dragon might look like, through drawing and labelling using adjectives and nouns. After we had enquired, we eventually got to the bottom of the matter; CCTV footage revealed a dragon and what it did to the class.
For the remainder of the week we were able to follow the instructions of the text 'How to Trap a Dragon' to prepare ourselves if it happens again. We even made our own instructions for future use!
