Nairobi Hospice charity walk

16th September 2024

Last Saturday, I along with a few dedicated Braeburn students and members of the community service team set out for the annual Nairobi Hospice charity walk raising awareness on palliative care while raising funds through the sale of T-shirts for the improval of their chemotherapy centre. At the venue, we were met with a warm and vibrant atmosphere full of music, dance and people who we shared a common interest with (Giving back). The 10km walk did seem daunting for most of us in the beginning but the surrounding community, consistent enthusiasm of our teachers, band and significance of the cause provided needed momentum and motivation. I as well as everyone who participated feel honoured to be included in such an inspiring event this year.
